Macy Comrie began her ballet training over 25 years ago with Ballet School of Coeur d'Alene. At 15, she was accepted to train under Prima Ballerina Gelsey Kirkland's year round program in New York City . While attending Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, Macy participated in summer intensives with American Ballet Theatre on scholarship as well as Chautauqua Festival Ballet on full scholarship. Macy received mentorship and coaching from New York City Ballet legends Gelsey Kirkland, Stephanie Saland, Peter Martins, and Patricia McBride. At 17, she was accepted to train with international Danseur Sergio Neglia in New York until 2012. Upon graduating High School, Macy was invited to dance principal and soloist roles as a professional Ballet dancer with Dance Theatre of Tennessee. There, she performed many roles including Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, the Peasant Pas De Deux in Giselle, and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. Some of Macy's favorite roles performed include the Russian Girl soloist alongside fellow professionals of New York City Ballet, and Kitri in Don Quixote with Neglia Ballet in New York. For many years, she enjoyed dancing professionally in Nashville, New York, and performed in parades with Walt Disney World before transitioning to her teaching career.

Over the past 10 years, Macy has taught aspiring dancers of all ages in New York, Portland, Nashville, and Orlando. Macy is thrilled to share her passion and knowledge of ballet and the classical arts with the community.
